After
replacing the battery, you happened to find your HP computer doesn’t keep the
time,you may think that is the hp power cord question.
There are
maybe three possiblities for your reference.
1> The battery jar contacts on the
motherboard are loose, you cannot just change a CMOS battery to make things
right.
You can do something like bending the contacts to fix it, anyway, it's better to get help from a guy with experience.
2> The CMOS battery is dead, but you have proved it's not the case.
3> You computer is infected by virus, no much to say about it, just kill it.
